Did Rihanna Intentionally Skip Russell Brand Katy Perry Wedding? “He’s Not Good Enough”

Rihanna’s made no secret of her initial displeasure with best friend’s new husband, British comedian Russell Brand. Curiously enough, an Australian tabloid believes the flame-haired islanders displeasure with Rusty isn’t such a thing of the past, and offers an interesting suggestion on the real reason Rihanna didn’t attend BFF Katy Perry’s wedding last month.

She was supposed to be the maid of honor at Indian nuptials to the shaggy-haired former serial shagger, but was suddenly a no-show, blaming a work situation she couldn’t get out of.

“It was a crazy time, it was a crazy week, I’m switching management. There was no phone service in India and very little-to-no Internet service, so it would have been a little irresponsible of me. I’m sad that I missed it,” Rihanna later explained.

The singer, who is putting the finishing touches on her fifth studio album Loud, set for release Nov. 16, added that she “will never forgive herself” for missing Katy’s big day. We’d always imagined that the whole point of being rich and famous would be to get out of work when you felt like it?!

“She feels like the relationship is toxic,” explains the source, who spoke with Women’s Day Magazine on the condition on anonymity.

Anyway, the mag reports that Rihanna doesn’t think a teased haired, leggings-clad former sex addict will make a good husband for her pal and she “absolutely doesn’t approve” of Katy’s spouse.

“She’s convinced Katy is just going to get hurt by Russell and she wanted to send a loud message. If you notice, she is very rarely photographed with Russell, because she doesn’t think he is good enough for Katy.”
