The age-old habit and almost a tradition in many culture of drinking milk regularly look to be beneficial in many ways as has been found in new scientific studies. Drinking of milk has been particularly found helpful for muscle builders as well as for keeping accumulation of fat off from the body.

A new study held at McMaster University has shown that diary foods are not fattening for women and men. What surprised the scientist is that drinking of milk actually helped in fat loss. Perhaps this is mainly due to a combination of calcium, high-quality protein and vitamin D found in milk.

A group of women were given 500ml of fat free white milk one after exercise. But it was found that they hardly gained any weight. It was found out that simple exercise and milk consumption work for improving women’s health substantially.

In earlier studies, it was already proved that in men, milk increased muscle mass and fat loss.
