First Look: Frank Grillo’s Crossbones Looks Awesome in ‘Captain America: Civil War’

In the wake of Avengers: Age of Ultron reaching a billion dollars in box office grosses worldwide, the first images from the set of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War are beginning to creep online, and right off the bat it’s off to a pretty badass start.

For one, check out Frank Grillo’s Crossbones. The actor posted the following image of himself in full costume on Instagram earlier and it rocks.

Many thought Grillo would make the transformation to Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but Marvel smartly held back and let his arc extend through multiple movies, with the character — badly scarred at the end of Winter Soldier — returning to Civil War to get some payback we assume, and… well, bring on Crossbones!

Captain America: Civil War, due out on May 6, 2016, is already stuffed with heroes and villains, with every Avenger set to return except Thor and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), though the latter has been teasing Civil War on social media lately leading many to believe Hulk will also have a role in the film, which now includes….

..deep breath…

Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Hawkeye, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes, Ant-Man, Sharon Carter, War Machine and Black Panther, not to mention rumors suggest Spider-Man will also make an appearance.
