Highlight on New Movie Released DVD
The “Bones” Season 11 DVD/Blu-ray is being released ahead of the highly anticipated final season, and Screener can exclusively debut a bonus feature from the set: As part of the extras, fans can see a variety of deleted scenes, including this one from Season 11, episode 17 “The Secret in the Service.”
Angela (Michaela Conlin) is chomping at the bit to hear Hodgins’ (T.J. Thyne) “top 5 theories” of who could be behind the murder of a Secret Service agent.
“It can’t be a coincidence that the president’s life is in danger and we recently re-opened relations with Cuba,” she notes excitedly. But Hodgins isn’t biting — and his depression over his paralysis is palpable.

“Alright, I get what’s going on here. You’re trying to get me excited about the case by getting me to think that there’s some grand conspiracy at work… Angela, not everything traces back to some large system at play, OK? Sometimes bad things just happen,” he says, the full weight of his words sinking in with his wife.
“Yeah, you’re right. You’re right, most of the time conspiracies are just a desperate attempt to make sense of a tragedy. But other times, they’re real,” she says. And viewers will remember that in this case, the Secret Service murder did turn out to be an inside job — but it had nothing to do with the president.
But the bigger development was that Hodgins’ new upper body strength that he gained doing so much physical therapy after his paralysis saves him during an accident at a crime scene — an accident that probably would have killed him without his more developed arm muscles — so his attitude starts to change a little.
Also included on the “Bones” Season 11 DVD/Blu-ray are more deleted scenes and a gag reel. The set hits stores Jan. 3, 2017 — the same day “Bones” returns for its 12th and final season on FOX.
