The representative of Hewlett-Packard announced on Wednesday that the company is planning to reduce its costs. It plans to make its services fully automated and move its enterprises to offshore locations where its expenses will be considerably cut.

According to Hewlett-Packard’s vice president Robb Rasmussen, it will also be efficient to introduce automation and personnel training in the corporation’s offshore centers.

As a result of this strategy about 9,000 workers have been redundant for the previous three years.
As it has become known, not only Hewlett-Packard introduces automation of its services – Dell and several other companies are implementing this policy these days.
HP informed that it is going to invest US$1 billion into the company’s restructuring and is planning to hire 6,000 workers in order to implement their new initiative.
The company is planning to shift its business in such offshore locations as India, Bangalore, and other locations. It has been officially declared that HP possesses 14 offshore centers of services which are situated in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia.
As it is planned, automation will enable HP to hire less staff for rendering its key services and in such a way the costs will be significantly cut.
