James Franco Joins Facebook & Twitter!

Say hello to the newest member of The Twitterverse: Actor James Franco!

On Friday, the well-studied Oscars house joined the ranks of Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian, and numerous other celebrities by joining social networking site Twitter.com.

“Hi everybody, here I am on Twitter! This is my FIRST tweet,” he wrote on Friday morning, linking to a verification video.

Though he’s Tweeted just a handful of times since last weekend, James has already amassed just over 127,000 followers.

Franco — who isup for a Best Actor prize at Sunday’s Academy Awards for his 2010 adventure drama 127 Hours — also recently joined Facebook, where his video and photo postings have pulled in approximately 129,000 fans.
