No one’s hit the carpet just yet, but E! Fashion Police host Joan Rivers already knows who’s going to look best at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.
“I think J-Woww will look great at the Emmys,” she told PEOPLE. Actually, “not really, I just wanted J-Woww to see her name and ‘at the Emmys’ in the same sentence one last time.”
In all (OK, half) seriousness, though, the comedienne does have a real pick: Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara. “[She] always looks great on the red carpet — that body!,” Rivers said. “I expect her to show off her ‘Golden Globes’ at the Emmys.”
Speaking to PEOPLE following a Benefit Cosmetics and Fashion Police bash in N.Y.C. (photo below), Rivers said that she believes television stars “don’t dress as crazy” as people in movies. Why? “Apparently, you need film money to afford the really good drugs,” she joked.
And while we’ll be looking to see who’s wearing what, which fashion trends emerge Sunday night and who wins a statuette, Rivers will be looking forward to something else. “What am I hoping to see?” she asked. “Three skinny b*tches fighting to the death over a cheeseburger, and Jon Hamm naked. But, look who you’re asking.”
There is one question that earns an honest answer, though; when asked what viewers could expect from Monday night’s post-Emmys episode of Fashion Police (airing at 10 p.m. ET on E!), Rivers replied simply, “The truth. As ugly as it may be, I’m just saying the same things you’re thinking about but are too afraid to say.” Touché! Tell us: Do you agree with Rivers’s best dressed prediction?
