Joss Stone has been cast as a Bond Girl in a new video game.

The award-wiinning soul singer will appear as Nicole Hunter in James Bond 007: Blood Stone, written by GoldenEye screewriter Bruce Feirstein.

Blood Stone will feature the digital looks of the English songbird. Joss even joined the Eurythmics frontman Dave Stewart in penning the game’s theme song, “I’ll Take It All.”

“I’m the first Bond girl from the West Country. Instead of Martini in my glass I’m drinking cider,” Joss joked during a press conference last week. “She’s like this ‘it girl’, socialite kind of chick – a jewellery designer who flits around the world meeting people in high places,” Stone told BBC Newsbeat of her character Nicole. “She’s a bit of a hard nut as well, which is cool. You know she hangs out with Bond, flirts with him throughout the game, gets herself into trouble.

The computer game is not Joss’s first acting role; last year, Stone stepped into her acting shoes playing Anne of Cleaves on the Showtime series The Tudors.

“Players can engage in cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand combat and speed their way through explosive adrenaline-fuelled driving sequences as they embark on a global chase leading to action on land and sea through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok,” Activision say of their latest release. “Gamers can also feel what it is like to be a 00 agent, as they take the battle online in several robust 16-person multi-player modes that require skill, teamwork and strategy as players compete in matches that will have spies battling mercenaries.”

The game will be available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and DS later this year.
