Kate Winstlet and Sam Mendes Separated

We hope that it is not going to be the Hollywood ending for Kate Winslet.

Nobody could even suppose that the last year’s Academy Award winner would be able to break. Kate Winstlet was separating from her husband, director and fellow Oscar winner Sam Mendes, for nearly during seven years

No official reasons for their split were given by the press-shy couple. This sad news we learned about through their lawyer.

According to Keith Schilling of London-based law firm to the stars Schillings, Sam and Kate are saddened to announce that they have decided to separate. Moreover, the separation happened earlier this year. In fact, their split is considered to be amicable and was made by mutual agreement. Kate and Sam are fully committed to parent their children jointly.

Keith Schilling added that they ask the media to respect their private life, i.e. the life of their family.

The couple worked together on one project known as Revolutionary Road. Kate and Sam have a son who is 6 year old and his name is Joe. Also Winslet has a 9 year old daughter Mia. Her daughter is from her previous marriage with director Jim Threapleton.
