Her New York Fashion Week debut is just days away, but Katie Holmes seemingly has beauty on the brain. According to WWD, the actress has signed on to be the first-ever face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
This wouldn’t be Holmes’s first foray into the beauty world; last year, she did a series of short videos for John Frieda hair products. She’s also been a successful spokesmodel for brands like Ann Taylor, Miu Miu and J.Crew — not to mention her own line, Holmes & Yang.
Holmes is set to hit New York Fashion Week’s premier venue — “the tents” — on Sunday, showing the collection she created with her stylist, Jeanne Yang, for the first time ever on such a public stage.
“This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of media scrutiny,” a source tells the New York Post. “They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business.”
Business is apparently booming, too; last month, FoxNews.com reported that Barneys stores nationwide have seen an upswing in sales of the star’s clothing line. Tell us: What do you think of a Bobbi Brown/Katie Holmes pairing?
