Miley Cyrus’ 4-step plan to winning ‘The Voice’
Two new coaches are joining “The Voice” for Season 11 — Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. It’s the first time the Emmy-winning reality competition series will have two female coaches.

While Keys is an awesome artist who is surely to be an excellent coach, what fans are really excited about is seeing how bonkers Cyrus will be on the show. We certainly expect her to bring her own brand of quirky craziness to the spinning chairs, but it sounds like Cyrus has a pretty solid strategy going in to the premiere, starting with her plan to mess with fellow coach Adam Levine.
1. Steal Adam’s singers
“I’m trying to stay aware of how many spots I have on my team and who’s got strong talent on their side and how I can show them how much fun we’re having on my team so I can steal them … I hope maybe I can come out and steal some of Adam’s team just to bug him,” says Cyrus.
2. Be ‘genre-less’
Cyrus says the contestants tend to stick with a coach who is in their chosen genre, but she transcends that.
“With me, I don’t think there’s necessarily that kind of genre wall, it’s more freeing … I feel genre-less in my own life.”
3. Leave the fighting to the guys
“As much as the world likes to make this ‘girl cat-fights’ scenario, we’re so not those girls. That’s actually Blake and Adam who are more those girls … we leave the bickering to the boys,” says Cyrus of herself and Keys.
4. Just win, baby
Cyrus is confident she can win, but in all seriousness, she just really wants to have fun and mentor some talented new singers.
“The Voice” Season 11 premieres Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
