X-Men: Patrick Stewart has decided to retire from his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men movies. After watching Logan again recently, he says: “As I sat there I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So, I told [Hugh Jackman] that same evening, ‘I’m done too. It’s all over.’ His final performance as the character can be seen when Logan (above) opens in theaters on Friday. [EW]
Spirit Awards: Before it won Best Picture at the Academy Awards, Moonlight (above) swept the Spirit Awards, winning six prizes: Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Cinematography and the Robert Altman Award. Acting awards went to Isabelle Huppert (Elle), Casey Affleck (Manchester By the Sea), Molly Shannon (Other People) and Ben Foster (Hell or High Water). Horror drama The Witch received Best First Feature and Best First Screenplay awards, while O.J.: Made in America was named Best Documentary Feature. [Film Independent]

Norman Trailer: Richard Gere stars in the indie drama Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer. As the first trailer shows, Norman has a timely meeting with a rising Israeli politician (Lior Ashkenazi), which eventually opens up business opportunities that may be more than he can handle.
