On Wednesday, Britain’s royal family released new details about the buzzed-about April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, including the route the bride will travel.
Middleton will travel to Westminster Abbey by car through some of London’s most historic sites including The Mall, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and Parliament Square, before the service starts at 11 AM, according to a statement from Clarence House.
Here’s what we know so far: Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams will marry the royal couple and the Bishop of London will give a public address. The Dean of Westminster will conduct the service. After tying the knot, William and Kate will make a procession by horse-drawn carriage to Buckingham Palace where Queen Elizabeth will host a private reception. That evening, Wills dad, Prince of Wales Charles Windsor, will then host a private dinner, followed by dancing, at Buckingham Palace for close friends and family.
There has been much speculation about Middleton’s choice of a designer for her wedding gown and about the guest list and entertainment choices. There’s even rumors that ABBA might perform! However, there are still no deets on that front.
William and Kate, both 28, announced their engagement last November after an on-off, eight-year courtship that began when the two were students at St Andrews University in Scotland.
