Tis the season for engagements: Oscar-winning beauty Reese Witherspoon has announced her engagement to Hollywood agent Jim Toth, just a day after fellow screen darling Natalie Portman went public with her plans to wed.
A representative for the actress confirmed that Toth popped the question over the holiday weekend and noted that the couple is “extremely happy.”
Toth is an agent for Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Witherspoon is a CAA client but is represented by another agent.
Reese, 34, was previously married to her Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe. The former spouses met at Reese’s 21st birthday party in 1997 and began dating shortly thereafter. They were married in June 1999 in Charleston, South Carolina. Together, Reese and Ryan have two children — Ava, now 11, and Deacon, now 7. They divorced in 2008 after nearly seven years of marriage.
