Rick Sanchez Jon Stewart Apology

Rick Sanchez is making nice with nemesis Jon Stewart after a loose-lipped outburst got the former Rick’s List host booted from CNN last Friday.

Sanchez apologized to comedian Jon Stewart for calling him a “bigot” in radio interview last week, Sanchez’s wife revealed in an update to her Facebook page on Monday. Suzanne Sanchez blames exhaustion from working 14-hour days for her husband’s outburst on the “Stand Up With Pete Dominick” radio show Sept. 30.

The Cuban-born, Miami-raised Sanchez called Stewart a bigot with a “white, liberal establishment point of view.” He also ranted that CNN, along with the rest of media, is controlled by Jews.

“Rick apologized to jon stewart today,” wrote Suzanne, a stay-at-home who has four children with Sanchez. “They had a good talk. jon was gracious and called rick, ‘thin-skinned.’ His exhaustion from working 14 hr days for 2 mo. straight, caused him to mangle his thought process inartfully. he got caught up in the banter and deeply apologizes to anyone who was offended by his unintended comments.”

Sanchez joined CNN in 2004 and became the host of his own show Rick’s List in Jan. 2010.
