‘Twilight’ fans have been waiting for Bella and Edward’s epic wedding night for what seems like centuries: Now Robert Pattinson tells EW about that passionate, bed-shaking moment when Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen finally get it on in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.
In the Fall Movie Preview issue (out this Friday), Pattinson, joked about how Edward’s undead passion proves the undoing of a lot of nice pillows.
“I wanted to have it as a line so much, ‘I bit through all the pillows. Every. Single. One,'” he told EW. “And then [Edward would] start crying. By the way, that’s what he should be ashamed of in the morning. All those beautiful pillows! Egyptian cotton! ‘I ruined this bed!'”
Director Bill Condon has described the intensity with which he and his stars approached the most-anticipated scenes in the series: “We shot everything — whether it’s the lovemaking or the childbirth — as potent and powerful as it can be. It will be interesting to see whether there will be people who think it too disturbing for this universe.”
At Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart told the audience to expect a “hardcore” and “nightmarish” birthing scene, with Bella being “out of her mind.”
