Are the nuptials of Russell Brand and Katy Perry upon us already!? We don’t even know where they’re registered!?

We heard that the pop tart and her long-haired British companion have sent out invitations alerting friends of their wedding ceremony, which is set for later this month in India.

Russ and Katy had been dating for a little over two months when Brand popped the question during a pilgrimage in the East Indian city of Jaipur in Nov. 2009, tipsters told In Touch Weekly over the weekend. It is thought they have a seven-day long celebration planned. Famous names who are said to have been been invited include Rihanna, Jonathan Ross, and David Walliams.

Hopefully, Russell and Katy’s will be a lot more mellow than those of a English bride and groom that were left peeved after the comic crashed their traditional Indian wedding last month

The comedian stole the limelight from bride Pardeep Gill and groom Sumeet at their wedding at The Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire, north of London.

Brand left a nearby bachelor party in his honor to drop in on the wedding celebration of strangers. He was mobbed by party guests with cameras and phones in hand, and even hoisting a young boy onto his shoulders as he danced around the reception room.

Way to be incognito, Russell!

“Russell completely took over and was dancing away at the reception,” an unnamed guest told Britain’s News of the World Sunday. “The groom wasn’t very happy about the fact that the spotlight had been taken away from him and his new bride.”

In fact, the newlyweds were so annoyed they reportedly went to the DJ and asked him to play more authentic Indion music in a bid to stop Brand from dancing.

Russell and Katy — who are reportedly planning a mundane wedding — have urged their family and friends not to shower them with lavish presents and have vowed to donate any monetary gifts to charity.

“Katy has got a good job and I’ve got a good job, it seems indulgent to ask for more things, so we’re going to do something more worthwhile and humane with any money that people want to give us.”

The weddng will contain most elements of a traditional wedding, including a first dance followed by a reception, he told Heart 106.2 DJ Harriet Scott.

“It will just be like a normal one. It will have a first dance, it will have all of them things, like anything else. It’s no more interesting or no less spectacular than any marriage of anybody, so it’s very beautiful and incredible and wonderful but it’s also utterly mundane.”
