Just in case you missed the memo, Sarah Jessica Parker is aging….rapidly.

The news likely won’t come as much of a surprise to longtime SJP fans, who have followed the stylish star’s rise from through the Hollywood ranks over the past 30 years. Audiences watched the girl who once parlayed as Broadway’s Annie grow from an awkward teen on the shortlived 80’s sitcom Square Pegs to a pop culture phenomenon on Sex And The City.

But, at times, the aging process hits Sarah — now 45 — herself like a ton of Manolos Blahniks. Sarah Jessica Parker Elle January 2011 Cover SarahJessica1 SarahJessica3 SarahJessicaNews1

“I don’t know what I can do about the aging,” the actress said with a laugh in Elle’s Jan. 2011 issue. “Yes, I am aging. Oh my God, I’m aging all the time. It’s like those flowers that wilt in front of you in time-lapse films. But what can I possibly do? Look like a lunatic?”

SJP On Aging Naturally: “I don’t know what I can do about the aging. Yes, I am aging. Oh my God, I’m aging all the time. It’s like those flowers that wilt in front of you in time-lapse films. But what can I possibly do? Look like a lunatic?”

On Meeting Her Twins Loretta and Tabitha, 1, For the First Time: “[Meeting them] is hard to describe. Everything is suspended. I can’t even tell you what other sounds were in the room. I loved them immediately, but everything—their size, the shape of their heads, the color of their hair, their noses, their eyes—was new to me. They looked surprisingly different from James Wilkie, which I wasn’t expecting,” says Sarah, who still struggles with separation anxiety when she’s away from her kids.

“Even now I think about [the separation], and it makes my stomach hurt. I think about my son waking up on his birthday without me there, and I could die.”

On Tabitha’s Style: “She’s crazy for bows; she wants her head covered in them.”

On Poor Reception of Sex And The City 2 – which SJP co-produced: “Anybody spending time not liking you is pretty awful. I’m just not good at not caring,” Sarah says, adding that her Sex co-stars Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall are “far more mature about [the critics] than I am… I’m like, ‘I let you down; I’m so worried’”

On Being Offered the Position of President and Chief Creative Officer at Halston and Halston Heritage: “I kept saying, ‘You understand, by offering this you are going to be criticized?’ It took me a long time to say yes. I said, ‘Please know this now: I will never do this for a title. I will never dip in and out of this. I’ll do it like everything else I’ve ever done. I’ll be involved down to the splitting of the atom.’”

In other Sarah Jessica news, Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have bought a $21 million townhouse in New York’s Central Park West area. The family is currently moving from their current home in the West Village area of the Big Apple to 88 Central Park West, according to The New York Observer. The new home – once owned by philanthropist Laurie Tisch – features a 32-foot long living room, eight bedrooms, five bathrooms and five half-baths.
