Simon Barney Arrested For Domestic Violence Against “Real Housewives Of Orange County” Star Tamra Barney

Simon Barney, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney, was picked up on domestic violence charges overnight following a dispute at the California home the former couple once shared.

After months of strife, Simon and Tamra ended their 12 year marriage in early 2010. The soon-to-be exes have battled every step of the way as they duel over their children and Tamra’s rebound romance with one of Simon’s friends. Last night’s fight during a bitter exchange about custody of the couple’s dog. They pair had been sharing the puppy, but drama ensued when Simon brought the pet back to Tamra’s on Monday night.

“He was angry and threw the leash at her and hit her with it,” a source claims. “Their kids were in the house and started crying. It was a bad scene. The leash hit Tamra. She wasn’t sure what to do, but she knew she couldn’t tolerate the violence. She called the cops.”

Simon later texted Tamra to apologize for the incident, insisting that the leash had simply slipped out of his hands. But it was too little, too late. Cops arrived at Simon’s home with an arrest warrant a short time later.

He was taken into custody and is currently being held on $10,000 bail. Simon is expected to enter a plea during his arraignment this afternoon.
