Surprise! Celebrate the Holidays with This New Wes Anderson Short Film

Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Grand Budapest Hotel) is no stranger to lending his unique point-of-view to various advertising campaigns over the years, directing fun little short films for everyone from Prada to American Express. Now he’s back with a four-minute short for H&M titled “Come Together,” starring Adrien Brody, who’s appeared in multiple Wes Anderson movies to date.

In the short, inspired by the John Lennon tune, Brody plays a train conductor named Ralph who’s tasked with alerting passengers in his car that due to bad weather their arrival will be delayed nearly 12 hours, making it so everyone will miss the Christmas holiday. Never fear, though — Conductor Ralph has a plan!

As for Anderson’s next feature, it’s due in 2018 and it will be animated (like his Fantastic Mr. Fox), featuring the voices of Jeff Goldblum, Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Edward Norton and Bob Balaban — all of whom have worked with Anderson before, save for Cranston. No other details on the film are available at this time.

And because you’re in the mood to watch more, here is Anderson’s Prada short from a few years ago, starring Jason Schwartzman.
