The Sony Ericsson Equinox is not so attractive, but still the design has its own good points. It provides the following measures: 3.7 inches by 2.0 inches by 0.6 inch.

The handset is equipped with a 2.25-inch internal display which offers 262,144 colors and provides the resolution of 320×240 pixels. The colors are vibrant and bright. The menu of the handset is intuitive as well as simple. It is possible to add the MyFaves display to the standby screen.

The downside of the handset is its external display. It is dim and small. You are able to view the numeric caller ID, battery life, time, and signal strength. Unfortunately, it is unable to work as a viewfinder for the camera lens.

The handset has a 1,000-contact phone book. As for the essential features, one can find text and multimedia messaging, speakerphone, notepad, timer, calendar, and alarm clock. But still there are advanced options like USB mass storage, Wi-Fi, voice recorder, PC syncing, instant messaging, code memo for storing sensitive information and file manager.

The Equinox integrates a 3.2-megapixel camera that is able to shoot in four sizes as well as two quality settings. As for editing options, there are brightness adjustments, white balance, night mode, self-timer, 14 frames, multishot and panoramic modes, a silent option and shutter sounds. The handset has a 3.2 megapixel camera. The photo quality is excellent, but one can notice image noise.

The battery life offers 10 hours of talk time and 16 days of standby time.
