Dooming 400 Skaikru souls to death while saving a select 100 isn’t sitting very well with Clarke (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) on Wednesday’s (Feb. 15) “The 100” — but all hope is not lost yet. Thanks to Jaha (Isaiah Washington), there might be an alternate option to using Arkadia as a haven from the radiation.
While all the government bunkers from before the bombs went off are compromised or otherwise not viable, a rumored bunker built by a doomsday cult might just be hidden within spitting distance.
If Clarke can find a shelter that will save thousands of people instead of just 100, this could mean salvation — for not only Skaikru, but hundreds of Grounders as well. The only problem is finding this mysterious shelter, when its location was only supposed to be known to a select few believers.
RELATED: Will ‘The 100’ whittle its survivors down to just 100 again?
Of course, that will create a whole host of new problems — sharing a sanctuary with whichever bloodthirsty Grounders make the cut doesn’t exactly sound like a walk in the park.
And for that matter, Raven has some harsh but realistic truth tea to spill about Jaha. He went looking for salvation in Season 2, and came back with a merciless artificial intelligence system that nearly wiped out humanity too. He’s not the person we’d trust most with the well-being of the masses.
Nevertheless, Clarke and Bellamy aren’t going to let this opportunity pass them by if it can save more people. One day’s work is a fair price to pay if they’re betting the survival of the human race on the outcome of this gamble.
“The 100” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
