The Originals Cast Bids A Hilarious Goodbye to The Vampire Diaries
The Originals cast knows their finale ended on a heck of a note—so they understand why the wait until new episodes in 2017 is going to be so excruciating.
“We don’t know who is going to get killed with a baseball bat, we’re all kneeling down in front of the camper,” star Joseph Morgan revealed to E! News at Comic-Con.
Hey, wait—isn’t that The Walking Dead?
OK, fine, it’s not actually their cliffhanger, Morgan confessed. (For the record, he doesn’t know who dies on TWD and also thought that Jon Snow would be dead on Game of Thrones, so he might not be the best person to weigh in on plot twists.)
While we were all talking about spoilers, we had the Originals cast weigh in on one very huge piece of news that broke just minutes before we sat down with them: their friends at The Vampire Diaries are ending the series after the upcoming eighth season.

Well, “frenemies” might be a better word for their relationship. Morgan and castmates Phoebe Tonkin, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis, Riley Voelkel and Yusuf Gatewood joked that “sure” they’d miss the TVD cast “every day,” but their parting words for the veteran series were not exactly serious.
“Bye, Felicia,” they teased.
