We’ve all questioned why he calls himself Yeezus, and it appears we may have found our answer…
During a stop on his Saint Pablo Tour in Atlanta on Monday night, Kanye West was rapping atop a floating stage above the audience when one eager fan jumped up and grabbed hold of the bottom bar of the platform. He then attempted to climb up toward the rapper until something very peculiar happened.
With one simple wave of us hand, Kanye sent the man falling down off the stage, and we can’t help but laugh at how perfectly the moment played out, looking as though ‘Ye really does retain those Godlike powers he always raps about.
Ironically enough, Kanye was performing “Power”—with lyrics “no one man should have all the power”—when the incident went down.
A 19-year-old college student Chase Brown was in attendance at the concert and caught video of the unbelievable moment, posting it to social media.
He told NBC, “Everyone just kind of turned and looked at each other like, ‘did that really just happen?’ But the show continued and not much was said about it. The overall show was great, Kanye put on a great show.”
Most recently, Kanye made headlines after taking to social media to defend his Yeezy Season 4 show during New York Fashion week.
He wrote on Twitter, “It’s our life’s mission to create the most transformative experiences. Each and every one’s time, insight and feelings are invaluable to us. We want to make people feel great. Thank you for embarking on this creative journey.”
We’d certainly agree Monday night’s concert was quite transformative.
