Yet another season with Jezza and the crew!,
If you are a serious fan of Top Gear, getting the Blu-ray version definitely is a plus.
This season of Top Gear starts off with James, driving a Toyota Toyota Hilux into a volcano to see how invincible the truck truly is. This is the same vehicle they used on their Polar Special.
Then the team is sent out on a challenge to find used sport sedans for less then £5,000… you can only imagine all of their shenanigans and so call “challenges” they have to perform.
On episode three they pit two heavy weights against each other a Camaro SS vs. Merc Benz E63 AMG! That was one heck of a competition, and kind of surprised at the results. They also try to figure out which is the best four door supercar by driving a bride and groom (along with their families) to their wedding… lets just say keep the escorting of wedding gusts to the professionals.
Episode four was one of their DIY challenges. They attempt to build motorhomes on vehicles that they thought was better than dragging a caravan. If Lotus wanted to build a motor home, I’m sure they wouldn’t have picked an Excel as it’s main structure.
Episode five was cram packed with all sorts of goodies, including a race/review of a Volkswagen Touareg, a world record attempt, and Lewis Hamilton stops by.
The last episode of season fifteen was another challenge, they try to find out why the British sports car industry isn’t doing so well by purchasing old roadsters for £5000. I probably laughed the hardest on this one.
The Blu-ray version also includes some behind the scenes with Celebs in the reasonably priced car, outtakes, and extended scenes.
I am very happy to see that the full episodes (run length approximately 370 minutes for six episodes) being released, not hacked up versions.
If you are a Top Gear fan of any sort, this Blu-ray is for you!
