Pull out your Google Maps and SoundCloud playlists, it’s time to road trip to Rio!
Olympic swimmers are heading to Rio, and they’re being environmentally conscious by carpooling there — obviously. And what’s a carpool without some karaoke?
In a video that’s sure to go viral, your favorite Olympians from Michael Phelps to Missy Franklin joined each other in the car for a road trip to Rio (let’s be real, none of these superstars actually drove anywhere, but the premise is cute), and they sang along to some of your favorite tunes on the way.

One of the cars in particular managed to catch our eye, as they (unknowingly or not) managed to give us all the “How I Met Your Mother” feels.
In an awesome rendition of “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers, they reminded us how much we actually miss Ted (Josh Radnor), Marshall (Jason Segel) and the rest of the gang. After all, whenever Ted and his friends hopped into the old Pontiac Fiero for a road trip, they either wiled the hours away belting The Proclaimers or playing “Zitch Dog.”
Excuse us while we got marathon old college episodes of “How I Met Your Mother” to ease our nostalgia.
