Wally is definitely Savitar on ‘The Flash,’ right?
What kind of game is “The Flash” playing with its viewers? “The Wrath of Savitar,” its March 7 episode, was loaded with twists and turns — as well as the return of the speed god himself. But something’s not adding up — and it left us wondering whether this is all one big ploy.
Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) has been trapped in the speed force, allowing Savitar to run free on Earth-1. It’s a genius plan on the villain’s part, and one that leaves the team down one speedster…
But what if there’s more to it? What if his actions and words have already revealed Savitar’s true identity? What if Savitar is Wally?

Let’s take a look at the evidence: Savitar said in this episode that he created his own powers. Likewise, he also gave Wally his speedster powers, putting him on the path to being as fast — faster — than Barry. Meanwhile, Savitar’s speech to Barry about his being the son Joe (Jesse L. Martin) raised, and the man Iris (Candice Patton) loved, felt like it hit a little too close to home for the big bad.
It’s almost like the feelings of someone with a deep-seated jealousy of Barry — something Wally himself contended with throughout Season 2.
Savitar comes across like a speedster with nothing left but his speed, and he seems determined to do the same to Barry before killing him. It’s as if the speed force has completely corrupted him — and as sad as it is to say, that’s something we can definitely see happening to Wally, as the circumstances line up.

Who knows what will happen to him in the future, and what role Barry will play in however Wally’s life plays out? Any number of the tiniest details could change, making way for huge ramifications. With Barry creating Flashpoint at the beginning of the season, there’s an unlimited number of outcomes to this particular story.
Wally, though — that’s one outcome that would take everyone on the team by surprise. Even if maybe it shouldn’t: After all, Reverse Flash was Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), and Zoom was Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears)…
“The Flash” can’t help but betray the team — and Savitar plainly told them it’s going to happen again here. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) may believe she’s the traitor, but we’re not convinced. We’ve got our eye on you, Wally.
“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
