Highlight on New Movie Released DVD
As Discovery’s “Harley and the Davidsons” speeds to its finish, telling the story of the rise of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, the founders of the illustrious company are also given the chance to reflect on the industry they kickstarted.
In Zap2it’s exclusive clip from night three of the miniseries, Walter Davidson (Michael Huisman) arrives at a motorcycle race to relive his glory days, sharing a beer with younger bikers and telling stories about the good old days — including his own history of racing against his brother’s wishes.
“I did that day unofficially,” he tells a young fan. “My brother forbade it, so I did it anyway. I’ve never been good with anyone telling me what to do, I guess.”

Davidson has a history of racing, even entering an early Harley-Davidson build into a dangerous race through the woods. Over time, his brother and company co-founder Arthur (Bug Hall) made it clear that he did not see racing as integral to the Harley business. Of course, time would prove Walter right as the Harley race team exists to this day.
“Harley and the Davidsons” wraps up its three-night event on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery.
