The witching hour month is upon us, which means all your favorite shows are starting to roll out their super fun and/or super scary Halloween episodes. From the villains of Springfield uniting as one to a “Murder Island” vacay, here are the Halloweeny highlights for Oct. 16-21, all times Eastern.
‘The Simpsons,’ Oct. 16, 8 p.m., FOX

It’s not only the annual Treehouse of Horror episode — No. 27 — but it’s also “The Simpsons” 600th episode, a number only one other primetime scripted TV show achieved (“Gunsmoke”).
‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ Oct. 18, 8 p.m, FOX

This FOX cop comedy has a Halloween tradition of the 99th precinct competing to see who is the best detective-slash-genius. “Halloween IV” marks the “ultimate” competition.

The Lakewood massacre survivors head to “Murder Island” to do research for Noah (John Karna) and Stavo’s (Santiago Segura) graphic novel. But wouldn’t you know it, there’s a killer on the loose.

The present-day CURE Institute staff decide to throw another Halloween party, 30 years after the infamous Halloween massacre. What could possibly go wrong?

This re-imagining of the classic 1975 film boasts an all-star cast, with standouts Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter and Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia, and is a ton of fun. Bonus points of having Tim Curry act as narrator.

This one isn’t strictly Halloween themed, but it’s time to start saying goodbye to one of the most beloved supernatural shows of the last decade.
