Watch: New Trailers for 'Trainspotting 2,' 'Goon 2' and 'The Last Face…

Take a virtual trip to foreign lands with our latest roundup of trailers, which includes two upcoming sequels about bad boys and a serious drama about do-gooders. Check out new spots for T2: Trainspotting, Goon: Last of the Enforcers and The Last Face below.

T2: Trainspotting 

The new international trailer for the Trainspotting sequel features Portuguese subtitles and is a lot like the official UK version we got before, only longer. There’s a bit of plot injection at one point, which accounts the additional footage, while another section seems to substitute lines for the other’s talk of drugs (maybe that has been censored).

All in all, the trailer is just another means of getting us excited for the 20-year-later follow-up, which reunites director Danny Boyle with a cast including Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller and Kelly Macdonald. T2: Trainspotting hits Portugal on February 2, 2017, but in America we will have to wait until March 3.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers

From Scotland we head over to Canada for more hockey shenanigans with Doug the Thug and the Halifax Highlanders. The 2011 sports comedy Goon has become a cult hit, and this sequel looks to score another win with the fans. Seann William Scott returns as Doug, who is based on real-life minor league hockey player Doug Smith. Also reprising their roles are Alison Pill, Liev Schreiber, Kim Coates, Marc-Andre Grondin, David Paetkau, Jonathan Cherry and Jay Baruchel, who is also the director this time around, in addition to co-writing. There is no official U.S. release date for Goon 2 yet, but it opens up north on March 17, 2017.

The Last Face

Sean Penn’s first directorial effort since 2007’s Into the Wild, this heavy drama stars Charlize Theron and Javier Bardem as medical practitioners for an organization that’s basically Doctors Without Borders. The trailer showcases their character’s romantic storyline set in the midst of some generic African turmoil. Adele Exarchopolus, Jean Reno and Jared Harris are also part of the primarily non-American cast of the movie, which debuted at Cannes in May. The movie is returning to France for an official opening in January, but as of yet there is no U.S. release date.
