Laurie Hernandez continues to have all of her dreams come true.
Just a few weeks after winning gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics—and meeting the one and only Zac Efron—the Team USA gymnast received a special surprise Saturday night.
Before performing as part of the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions with her teammates including Aly Raisman and Simone Biles, Laurie hung out backstage where she got an unexpected visitor.
Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for the moment when Laurie meets her favorite pop star Tori Kelly.
“OH. MY. GOSH!!! @torikelly,” the 16-year-old shared on Instagram with video of the entire encounter. “OMG.”
After a few hugs and even more OMGs, the pair was able to catch up and enjoy some girl time before hitting the Staples Center stage.
During the Olympics, Laurie confessed to Ryan Seacrest that 90 percent of her playlist was filled with Tori songs. And when the “Nobody Love” singer decided to give the gymnast a follow, let’s just say it was a very special time.
“Literally in tears over the fact that @ToriKelly followed me on twitter,” she wrote back in August. “Omgg thank you.”
Ever since winning gold as part of the Final 5 in Rio, Laurie has received a video message from The Voice coach Adam Levine, an invite to the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game.
And while balancing it all, she’s also competing for the top trophy on Dancing With the Stars.
“I’m sorry, but how can you compete with a girl that beautiful, with eyes that big, who looks like a Disney deer, and who’s going to dance amazing?” pro Emma Slater asked E! News. Yah, we’re really impressed too.
