Will Speck and Josh Gordon to Direct ‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’

Sony Pictures introduced on Monday that it’s going to adapt the basic youngsters’s ebook “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” into a movie directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, with a launch date set for July 22, 2022.

Will Davies, author of the “Johnny English” collection and co-writer of “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Puss In Boots,” will adapt the screenplay. The 1965 ebook by Bernard Waber follows Lyle, a crocodile that lives in a Victorian brownstone with the Primm household, who discovered him of their bathtub after they moved in.

Speck and Gordon’s previous work contains the 2016 comedy “Office Christmas Party” in addition to the Will Ferrell determine skating comedy “Blades of Glory.” They acquired an Oscar nomination in 1998 for his or her brief movie “Culture” and are at the moment engaged on the Amblin sci-fi movie “Distant” starring Anthony Ramos and Naomi Scott.
