Pop star Lady Gaga took the MTV Video Music Awards by storm as she won in eight of the 14 categories in this year”s event.
The categories in which Gaga took the moon man home are Video of the Year, Female Video, Pop Video, Collaboration, Dance Video, Choreography, Editing and Direction for her album ”Bad Romance”.
“Tonight, little monsters, we”re the cool kids at the party,” E-online quoted the near-teary singer said when picking up the award for Best Female Video.
Meanwhile, American Rapper Eminem”s ”Not Afraid,” won for Male Video and Hip-Hop Video.
The award of the best Rock Video was bagged by ”30 Seconds to Mars” for the ”Kings and Queens” and the gong for Best Special Effects went to Muse for ”Uprising”.
Another award in the Art Direction category was bagged by Florence ”n” the Machine for ”Dog Days Are Over” and Cinematography ward went to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys for ”Empire State of Mind”.
Justin Bieber, on the other hand, nabbed the Best New Artist award.
“This means a lot to me. This means a lot to my family. I come from a little town in Canada, I never thought I”d be in this position,” he said.
