YouTube adds editing features to its site

YouTube has made editing of video even simpler though this new feature added to its service. The editing tool enables you to trim and join clips and you can even add a soundtrack to the edited material

This feature to equip the users with editing tools has come at the time when video editing is being seen as a service for mass audience over the Web. However, other online video edition sites like Cuts, Jumpcut and Eyespot have vanished from the Web and were flourishing three years ago. The video-editing tools include trimming the beginning or end of clips, combining clips into one video, and adding a soundtrack.

But Google is capable of investing on this feature for a long time and has a vast user base. It also has the server power to tackle the obstacles. Therefore, everyone expects Google’s YouTube to continue offering the edition service which came into existing only yesterday.

However, the online editing tool has not yet become the part of YouTube yet. Instead it resides on the Test Tube lab site. Though still it is not seen as a full editing site, YouTube’s new editor is more than just editing a clip’s title, description, and keywords.
