Chace Crawford has walked out the remake of 1984 dance classic Footloose.
The part made famous by Kevin Bacon was earlier offered to Zac Efron. But after his snub, it went to the Gossip Girl star.
The hunky actor, 24, underwent months of rigorous dance rehearsals to master the complicated routines, revealing, “I”m going to need the whole nine months to really get to where I need to be. I have some movement and I”m really happy to learn a lot of new stuff.”
However, Crawford’’s rep has now told EW.com that Crawford is no longer part of the project.
No reason was given for his sudden departure, but according to sources, the star’’s filming schedule for Gossip Girl clashed with the Footloose shoot.
