Rihanna takes the lead on the sequel to “Love the Way You Lie,” her charttopping summer duet with Eminem.

The new track will appear on the singer’s new album Loud.

Produced by the UK’s Alex da Kid — the hip-hop mastermind behind the original track, which was featured on Eminem’s 2010 album, Recovery — the single has been remastered in the form of a pop ballad. Aptly-titled “Love the Way You Lie Pt. II,” Ri’s emotionally-charged offering continues with the theme of domestic abuse, but is told from a woman’s perspective, and boasts lyrics like: “Even angels have their wing cut schemes, and you take that to new extremes, but you will always be my hero, even though you lost your mind.”
