The Frontrunners for Akira Named

Deadline is reporting that the script for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ Akira has been sent to a short list of actors.

To be directed by Albert Hughes, Akira is based on anime artist Katsuhiro Otomo’s six-volume graphic novel masterwork. Filming is targeted for an August start.
