The nominations for the 2013 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards have been announced, and they’re filled with plenty of surprises.
For Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture were “Les Miserables,” “Argo,” “Lincoln,” The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” and “Silver Linings Playbook.” That left out such Oscar favorites as the Osama bin Laden manhunt drama “Zero Dark Thirty” along with Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained.”

The 18th annual Screen Actor’s Guild Awards just announced it’s winners on a live broadcast. Walking away with top honors tonight were “Modern Family,” which won for Outstanding Ensemble in a TV Comedy Series and “Boardwalk Empire,” which won for Outstanding Ensemble in a TV Drama Series. While it seems like all of Marvel Films’ attention is currently being lavished on its large scale production of The Avengers, the comic studio is also hard at work prepping multiple other projects for its post Avengers schedule.
