The November 8, 2013 sequel is directed by Alan Taylor and will star Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Idris Elba, Zachary Levi, Stellan Skarsgard, Christopher Eccleston, Kat Dennings and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Idris Elba Confirms He’ll Be Back For Thor 2

Just a few days after it was confirmed that Jaimie Alexander would be returning to Asgard for Thor 2 comes word, via MTV, that Idris Elba will be back in the role of Heimdall as well.

“Thor 2 for sure,” Elba responded when asked about future appearances in the Marvel Universe, “… We’re going at it again.”

According to Deadline, Alan Taylor has been selected by Marvel to direct ‘Thor 2.’ The television veteran replaces Patty Jenkins who left and/or was possibly removed after having creative differences with the studio.
