Ailing actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has declined to undergo any more surgery and wants to spend her final days at her Bel Air mansion.
A priest in hospital gave the 93-year-old actress the last rites after a series of setbacks following hip replacement surgery a month ago.
The actress and her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, decided not to go ahead with the liver surgery suggested by the doctors.
It had 50-50 chance of survival.
Instead, she will “spend her final days at home,” her publicist John Blanchette said.
“Frederic said he did not want to torture her anymore,” the Telegraph quoted Blanchette as saying.
Mr Blanchette said: “She had a great run. She”s 93. She knew five presidents, she knew kings and queens, celebrities.”
Prince Frederic said: “The doctors did everything they could do.”
Gabor broke her hip in mid-July when she fell out of bed while watching the television game show ‘Jeopardy.’
