It looks like the death of beloved comic actor Leslie Nielsen isn’t the only disturbing news hitting the blogosphere this Monday: Reality TV fanatics are being threatened with more televised tomfoolery and debauchery in the form of a fourth season of MTV’s docu-soap juggernaut Jersey Shore.

Season three of the smash series won’t debut until January, but basic cable bosses are already eager to cash in on the show’s far-reaching success — which includes book, fashion, and fitness deals for the show’s stars — by commissioning yet another season order for Shore.

But, as MTV producers are about to learn, the privilege of shadowing America’s Favorite Guidos and Guidettes as they take Jello shots and recover from one-night stands doesn’t come cheap.

“The cast are all about to start talks for a new season. Producers want to film in Miami again next spring, and they want to lock the cast down now. The problem is that most of them plan to demand their own spinoff show as part of the deal, as well as a large raise on their current pay,” a squeal yapped to The New York Post’s Page Six Column.

The heavily-tanned and well-gelled Shorers – which includes Snooki, The Situation, and Ronnie — are already paid a rumored $10,000 per episode.

The third season of Jersey Shore premieres Jan. 6 on MTV.
