“Ugly Betty” Actor Michael Brea Arrested For Decapitating Mother

Michael Brea, an actor who enjoyed bit parts on Ugly Betty and in Step-Up 3D, is being evaluated at a psychiatric hospital in New York City following reports that he chased his mother around her Brooklyn apartment with a Freemason samurai sword and decapitated her in a fit of rage.

Yannick Brea, 55, was found dead in her with multiple stab wounds early Tuesday morning, NYPD officials say. Cops arrived to a “bloody” crime scene and had to subdue a violent Michael with a taser. Neighbors in the family’s apartment building heard Yannick’s screams of horror while Michael yelled out to religious figures, like Moses and the “architect of the universe.” Police arrived on the scene 45-minutes later, but were too late to save the middle-aged mom

“I hear the brother chasing her [his mother] through the house and he’s just saying a bunch of [Bible] passages like, ‘Repent, Repent, Repent,’” a neighbor told local news network WPIX 11. “I heard him chasing her through the house and I hear a loud scream and so I have my father call the cops, call 911.”

Brea, 33, remains at Kings County Hospital, where he is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
