Chelsea Clinton Wedding Details Revealed!

Mark your calendars, Crunchers: We’ve been invited to a summer wedding! Well…we haven’t actually been invited, but we’ve got the inside scoop on the season’s most anticipated nups nonetheless. New York Magazine’s Doree Shafrir is dishing the top secret deets on former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton’s wedding.

Chelsea and longtime boyfriend Mark Mezvinsky will wed in front of 400 guest on July 31, eight months after announcing their engagement. Chelsea, 29, has settled on a design by Oscar de la Renta for her big day. Details surrounding the ceremony — which promises to be the biggest social event of the season — are being heavily guarded. Tattling tipsters tell Shafrir that the wedding will take place within a three-hour drive of New York City, rather than Martha’s Vineyard, where high society gossips originally predicted that the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and his wife Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would tie the knot.

“The plan right now is for the wedding planner to let all the guests know a week before the wedding exactly where it is,” Shafrir told The Early Show Tuesday. “The word is that if you don’t know Chelsea personally, you’re off the list. So, she has to know everyone personally who is going to be invited, which of course eliminates a lot of people who only know Bill and Hillary.”
