How many times do you think you heard “Call Me Maybe” this summer? How many fan-produced videos did you watch? Be honest: Did you sing it during a late-night karaoke session (we did!)? It was a really fun summer tune, but since Labor Day marks the end of summer, so marks the end of the song’s reign — and the last we’ll see of singer Carly Rae Jepsen‘s sweet summer style.
The Canada native started strong, arriving at the Hollywood Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D premiere in June in a blue Cengiz Abazoglu mini paired with fluorescent yellow Aldo pumps (left).
For the Teen Choice Awards in L.A. a few weeks later, Jepsen took the meaning of “summer style” seriously, making an impression in a palm-tree printed ensemble by Lisa Ho, plus black Aldo platforms and a seasonal, cocktail-inspired Kate Spade New York clutch (center).
Jepsen’s latest ensemble was so cute, it made us slightly sad that her 15 minutes might almost be up; she wore a peach Kelly Wearstler “Relief” dress to perform on Today in New York City, finishing the outfit with intense Alice + Olivia platform sandals (right).
It’s been a good run for the budding fashionista, and as her stylist, ElShane, says, “She looks amazing in everything.” But while her song might soon fade, perhaps her star won’t; as ElShane says, “Nice girls always finish first. She’s the real deal.” Tell us: Were you impressed by Jepsen’s summer style? Do you think she has a long career ahead of her?
