A new ‘Feud’ is born & ‘Vampire Diaries’ goes gently into that good night: The S…

It’s a big week for premieres of some Screener favorites — and, at long last, time to say goodbye to some, too. It’s time for the season to start changing, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Come, join us — for a week’s worth of the best and brightest Screener can recommend.

Sunday, Mar. 5: On ABC, there’s the “Once Upon a Time” premiere at 8 p.m., followed by the two-hour opening shot of the new sexy-steampunk “Time After Time,” starring #unREAL standout Freddie Stroma as H.G. Wells, and a total Jack the Ripper makeover for “Revenge’s” own Josh Bowman.

On Fox, the usual animated comedy lineup gets some fresh blood when “Making History” premieres at 8:30 and “Last Man on Earth” returns with a Kristen Wiig-centric (!) episode at 9:30.

In much the same vein as “Family Guy” and “Bob’s Burgers,” we have “Victoria” at 9 p.m. on PBS, ending its first season with a massive afterparty… And, of course, the unavoidable “Feud: Bette & Joan” finally bows on FX at 10.

Monday, Mar. 6: Three hours of “The Bachelor,” leading into the finale, air at 9 p.m. on ABC, while we say goodbye — for now — to “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party” at 10 on VH1. “Shadowhunters” ends the first half of its second season at 8 on Freeform, and late in the night, Netflix drops the next Amy Schumer special. Then on Tuesday, Mar. 7, “The Americans” premieres its fifth (and oh-so-timely) season on FX at 10 p.m.

Wednesday, Mar. 8 sees the finales of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Man Seeking Woman,” on FXX starting at 10. The two-hour premiere of “Survivor” begins at 8 p.m. on CBS, while on History Channel it’s the end of the first season of the fascinating “Six.” And finally, after an excruciating wait: Season 2 of “Underground” takes the stage on WGN America at 10.

The game-setting spring finale of “Nashville’s” rebooted CMT incarnation falls at 9 on Thursday, Mar. 9, and at 10 p.m. the second season of Screener fave “The Catch” joins #TGIT on ABC. On Fox, wacky competition show “Kicking & Screaming” kicks and screams into gear at 9 p.m., while “Portlandia” ends its penultimate season on IFC at 10.

Late Thursday night, several streaming shows will drop: We’re most excited about Amazon’s “Hand of God” and Netflix’s Apatow rom-com “Love,” both releasing their second seasons.

And on Friday, Mar. 10 — a day we’ve dreading for a long time — “The Vampire Diaries” ends its CW run after 8 great years, starting at 8 p.m. with a celebration/tribute special. It’s been a long road, and we’re very happy to have been on it.

Saturday, Mar. 11, is uncharacteristically busy: Showtime’s “American Jihad” documentary is a must-watch at 9 p.m., and at 10 HBO airs the latest Jerrod Carmichael comedy special, “8.” 11:00 debuts the long-awaited Adult Swim premiere of “Samurai Jack’s” fifth season — over a decade since Genndy Tartakovsky’s animated art-film classic ended its first run in late 2004, and in-story after fifty years — and then, of course, Scarlett Johannsen and Lorde headline a new “Saturday Night Live” at 11:29 p.m. on NBC.

…Which of course, we all know has turned out to be pretty spectacular in the past.
