A New York premiere for Kites

Kites, a much talked about love story of an Indian man and a Latin woman, will have a New York premier on May 16. The movie will be shown at AMC Empire [theater], Times Square. Leading artistes of the film will also make a promotional tour prior to the premier.

After it is shown in the US, the film will be premiered in London at Odean West End on May 18. Kites is slated for world wide release on May 21

The film has Bollywood star Hritik Roshan and Mexican actress Barbara Mori in lead roles. Reliance BIG Pictures will distribute and market the film. On May 14 and 15, Rakesh Roshan, producer of the film, Hritik Roshan, Barbara Mon, Anurag Basu and Rajesh Roshan will be on the promotion tour of the film.

The film is about the thrilling journey taken by an Indian man and a Latin woman with whom he has an affair. They do not know each other’s language and it adds to the dilemma they are already facing. The film shows their precious moments together as well as their betrayals.

Besides in Hindi, the film is also being released in English with the title Kites: The Remix. This version is done in keeping with the sensibilities of western people and is edited by Hollywood editor Brett Ratner. The English version will be released on May 28.
