Bane’s Costume in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Leaks Online, Internet Follows Outrage Pattern Accordingly

A few full body photos of Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises have hit the net thanks to Just Jared and the revelation of the hulking character’s big screen costume has set blogs and Twitter alike ablaze with an almost overwhelmingly negative response.  But you know what?  Screw that noise.  Not only are these unofficial, context-free photos, but even with the raw, spy nature of the photos, I’m failing to see what about them has people groaning.  

Have people forgotten that this is standard operating procedure for Christopher Nolan movies?  Fans work themselves into a fervor trying to find out things about his films before they’re properly revealed and when they actually get their hands on something, they scoff every single time.  They did it with the first look at the new Batmobile and the first look at Heath Ledger as Joker, yet the final product was invariably badass both times.  Does anyone really think The Dark Knight Rises will be any different?
