The promo is being directed by Gaga-favored lensman Jonas Akerlund and will premiere ahead of Spears’ still-untitled upcoming disc.
“HIAM,” the first single from Brit’s forthcoming ninth album, stormed Billboard’s Pop Songs chart at No. 16 with 4,071 plays, the highest detections total by a debuting title in the chart’s 18-year history. The track also ties Madonna’s 1998 hit “Frozen” for second-highest launch in the list’s archives. Only Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover” began at higher, rocketing to No. 12 the week of Aug. 14, 1993.
