Christina Hendricks Breasts Set Off Plastic Surgery Craze In UK

Checking in at a size 14, fiery redhead Christina Hendricks has brought SexyBack to pop culture for The Curvy Set, and now it seems that an increasing number of women in the United Kingdom are going under the knife to achieve the Mad Men star’s signature hourglass frame.

There was a 10 percent surge in the number of women having breast enhancements in the UK in 2010, Britain’s Daily Mail reports. A total of 9,418 women went under the knife for chest augmentation last year alone, and plastic surgeons say much of the surgery surge craze can be attributed to women who are dying to look just like Christina.

“The Christina Hendricks effect is significant. She looks stunning and lots of women a figure like hers. No one believes any more you have to be stick thin to be beautiful,” one surgeon told th publication.

British politican Lynne Featherstone believes 35-year-old Christina and her plus-sized figure should be held in higher esteem by women than the “unattainable bodies” of rail-thin supermodels.

“Christina Hendricks is absolutely fabulous. We need more of these role models,” she said.
