Curiosity about Raavan, as it nears release

Mani Ratnam’s much talked abut and awaited film Raavan is to be released this Friday in domestic and overseas circles. While the Tamil version will be released on 220 screens in South India, its premier in London has already gained popularity.

The film is awaited so eagerly due to Mani Ratnam and abhishek Bachchan’s title role. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek are paired first time after Guru.

The film is loosely based on the epic Ramayana with some twists in the characters. The hero of the film is a Raavan and not a Ram. Abhishek plays the character of Raavan or Beera who has no respect for any law. Such aspects of the film make it interesting and people await its release.
